ABOUT

FTC is a dual purpose acronym. The first? Fire Ted Cruz.

FTC was founded by a group of Texans whose faces turn red with embarrassment and outrage every time we remember our state is represented by Ted Cruz. And we know we’re not alone.

From his atrocious stances on key issues like climate change and gun control, to the countless examples we’ve seen of his lacking leadership abilities, the junior senator from Texas is a blemish on the face of our great state– plain and simple.

Yet as each election cycle comes and goes, Texans continue to vote against their own self interest, and Ted Cruz continues to squeak by along the slimmest of margins, maintaining power and platforms he is not worthy of. Why is that?

It’s not for lack of trying on the Democrats' part. We’ve seen over election cycles as they’ve poured in millions of dollars, backed the strongest possible candidates, and committed sizable amounts of their weight to unseating Ted Cruz. If you ask us, there’s one thing that’s missing: research.

That’s why FTC also stands for For Texas Change. We exist because as each election cycle comes and goes, so too does the months and years of electoral research conducted. We’re here to understand how and why Texas voters believe what they do, or make the decisions they do. We’re here to make sure that when Ted Cruz is up for reelection in 2024, our  appeals are effective and our attacks precise. And the work doesn’t stop there.

We’re launching a multi-cycle commitment to building a home for cutting-edge research into the Texas electorate, and using that research to support targeted, precise attacks against Republicans - starting with Ted Cruz. More than that, we're here to support Democrats down the line once he’s long gone. So what do you say – are you ready to Fire Ted Cruz once and for all?
